simplyTrue attended The Faversham Hop Festival for the first time this year.

The sun shone and the smell of the hops was everwhere. They hung from every conceivable place. As well as most people wearing them in their hair, they made collars for dogs, decorations for buggies, swags for handbags, corsages for jackets and, of course, they hung from every stall :-)

Thousands of people came to enjoy the music, dancing, stalls and beer !

simplyTrue was very busy the whole weekend. The adult jewellery and childrens jewellery proving very popular along with the childrens lucky dip, which contained handmade child size jewellery items.

Hi everyone. Just thought you may like a quick write up about simplyTrue Jewellery.

simplyTrue started in 2005.  I attended my first Rochester Farmers Market in July 2005.  Over the years I have built up the Farmers Markets to now include Meopham Farmers Market, Tonbridge Farmers Market, West Malling Farmers Market and still, of course, Rochester Farmers Market.  I also do local events such as Sweeps, Dickens Summer and Winter Festivals, Faversham Hop Festival, Sandwich Festival and many smaller events throughout Kent.

I began with making adult bracelets which friends and friend’s friends purchased.  I now make necklaces, bracelets, earrings, anklets and brooches.  I also make childrens jewellery at pocket money prices :-) including necklaces, bracelets and rings.  I make decorated wicker hearts, wine charms, glasses chains and my very popular spider hanging charms !

simplyTrue also includes Home Parties. You invite your friends, family etc and I will bring along all the simplyTrue stock to show everyone…..tea and cake or wine and nibbles…..up to you :-) Super idea for everyone to stock up on birthday/christmas/teacher/easter gifts.

What a windy day, but it didnt blow away the people of Speldhurst Village, who came along to the village fete. After a while the sun came out. There was lots to enjoy with Morris Dancing, May Pole Dancing, many stalls, pizza, beer, burgers. Along with them there was the craft marquee holding the Craft Fair and the Afternoon Tea and Cakes, with their little tables all decorated with a bunch of fresh flowers :-) A lovely setting for a lovely day ( and lots of lovely homemade cake too) !

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A nice day was had by all at The Two Brewers One-Day Farmers Market and Craft Fair in the beautiful village of Shoreham, Kent.The weather was a bit of everything but we didn’t let that ruin a super day.
As well as handmade jewellery, chocolate, granola bars, pies, meat, eggs, nuts,fruit and veg were available :-)

The flowers are starting to grow for Spring and Summer and they have inspired this pretty range of childrens bracelets.

Here are the first three to be made, with many more to follow :-)

Two have multi coloured flowers and either moon and star charms or dragonflies and stars.

The other one has larger white flowers with dragonflies and stars.

They are all 7″ in length and are silver plated.

Aprils birthstone is Diamond. The colour of diamond is clear but white can also be associated with April. The meaning of the colours clear and white is purity and virtue.

I have made three clear/white necklaces for April.

The back one has silver seed beads and clear square beads. Its 18-20″ long.

The middle one has white seed beads and a mix of clear, white and silver beads. Its 18-20″ long.

The bottom one has champagne seed beads with large pearly white beads and small and medium pearls. Its 18-20″ long.
